I have been with my boyfriend for nearly 2 years now & it was difficult for us to get together with his ex in the way she would say things about me to him, she would say things to me about him when we were out, she even came up to him when I was out with him & asked him if he wanted to come back to her …. she has never really bothered me by doing all this though it’s only recently that I’ve started feeling very insecure when I found some text messages from her on his phone, when I asked him if he’d been in touch with her hes swore to me he hadn’t … which was obviously a lie as the text messages clearly stated things like thanks for your voicemail it was so good to hear your voice blah blah blah … after I confronted him about it he said that his mum had sent them & that she still kept in touch with her (I obviously had my doubts) but I wanted to believe him so bad that I let it slide & just the other day the temptation got the better of me again and I checked his phone hoping & praying there would be nothing there but there was a text from her … now I don’t know what to do I can’t handle them being friends after all the trouble she’s caused …..

It’s not about trust, but about how you feel. Perhaps your boyfriend lied, perhaps not; this doesn’t change how you feel. Your situation is equal to the one that your boyfriend has a troublesome child you have to face; to accept or not, it’s up to you.

Face it… You KNOW what to do… you just don’t want to do it. Leave him and her to work out their unresolved issues -you seem to be caught in the middle of a love triangle in the making. Your eyes are open but your senses are dull –wanting NOT to believe what’s going on around you.
It’s time you grow up and into your power. If you truly want a man who cares for you the RIGHT way, you’ve got to care for YOURSELF FIRST. Show love first for YOU! And others will follow. Put your foot down and move on.
